Divi – Integration Theme Options

Video Tutorial

Script & Screenshots

In this video I’m going to go through the Integration tab in the Theme Options area.

This tab will make it easier for adding any third party code to certain areas of the Divi theme. This code can be added to your websites header or the body, as well as before and after each blog post. For example, if you need to add a tracking code for Google Analytics, you can easily add on this tab.  Otherwise you would have to add it within the PHP code of your website.  So this tab is great for those who don’t know much about coding.

To get to these settings, click on Divi, then Theme Options.

Then click on the Integration tab.

This first option, Enable header code goes with the Add Code to the < head > of your blog.  If you add code to this box and have the Enable header code enabled, this code will be added to your website.  If you want to temporarily turn off this code, but keep it for later, you can disable it until you’re ready to turn back on.  Adding any code here will appear in the head section of every page of your blog. This is useful when you need to add JavaScript or CSS to all pages.

Enable body code.  This is where you can enable or disable the body code from your blog. Once again, if you disable it, it allows you to remove the code while saving it for later use.  The Add code to the < body > is a good spot to add your tracking code for Google Analytics.  Any code you place here will appear in body section of all pages of your blog. This is useful if you need to input a tracking pixel for such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.  I’ll go into more detail about these two items in another video series.

Add code to the top of your posts – Any code you add here will be placed at the top of all single blog posts. This is useful if you are looking to integrating things such as social bookmarking links.  You can enable or disable this code at any time.

Add code to the bottom of your posts, before the comments – Any code you place here will be placed at the top of all single posts. This is useful if you are looking to integrating things such as social bookmarking links.

When you’re done and would like to save your changes, click on the Save Changes button.  Otherwise you can click away from this page.

So if a 3rd party service or plugin requires you to add any code to your website, this is probably where you’ll want to add it.  Usually the 3rd party will have instructions on how to add it to your site.

That’s it for this video.  I’ll see you in the next one.
